July 4th at White Rock

Melissa came up with brilliant idea of going to White Rock on July 4th so that we could watch the fireworks from across the water that were being set off in the Birth Bay area. We decided to pack a barbecued picnic (farmer's sausage and pasta salad) and then watch the show.

On our way to White Rock, we caught a beautiful view of Mt. Baker:


Despite the hot weather during the day, it cooled off quite a bit in the evening time and as we approached the water. Here's a picture of the two of us shortly after dinner and another of Melissa in great anticipation of the lighted entertainment.
