We were given M's tickets so we decided to visit Mom & Dad Reed on Sunday night and then go to Safeco Field for the game on Monday evening. We visited Granddad at his new home at Farington Court in Kent and had a great visit with him. We talked about our cruise to Alaska and then told him that Melissa was pregnant. He seemed pretty excited. At one point though, Melissa jokingly asked if babies were allowed at Farington Court and I followed up with a comment that we'd drop Bambino off for a visit sometime. Granddad sheepishly told us that he's not a great babysitter. Don't worry Granddad... we'll just bring Bambino over for a visit. :)
We then went to Grandma & Grandpa's place to share the good news. It was a beautiful day on the lake and we enjoyed lunch together on the deck. Grandpa was in fine form and Grandma was having a pretty good day... she ate a good amount of lunch and even had some ice-cream too.
And then on to Seattle to watch the M's and A's.... Bambino's first MLB game. Ian Snell got the start and pitched brilliantly, Griffey went yard with a two-run shot, and the bullpen did their job without any hiccups. 3-1 M's!
