Bell Ringing

Earlier in December our family volunteered with the Salvation Army's Christmas Kettle Campaign and spent 2 hours at the mall ringing a bell and collecting donations for the Salvation Army.  Hudson was excited - a bit too excited.  Usually he shouted "Merry Christmas" to passers-by, but sometimes he also asked "Can I have some money please?"  He also saw one woman get our her wallet, walked over to her, and tried to get money out of her wallet for her.  Thankfully he's cute and can get away with that more easily than us adults can.
Here you can see Hudson hanging off of the kettle stand with his feet in the air.  At times he also wanted to "see" the money in the kettle, which is impossible since the kettle is red, not clear.  These were the things that made us adults a bit annoyed :)
Of course we had a snack break.  And a few other breaks where one of us let Hudson run around the mall while the other manned our station.  Hailey was a real trooper, just hanging out in the ergo carrier sleeping away, even when we switched her between us.
After our shift was finished we treated Hudson to a panini at Starbucks, one of his favourite treats.
