Our little boy turned three on Friday. We started the day by opening up birthday gifts and having a birthday breakfast.
After Toddlers on the Move (the play class Hudson attends on Fridays with Ethan), we took Hudson for a birthday smoothie. He loves smoothies.
During quiet time, I burned Hudson's cake and then, in an attempt to limit the smoke in the house, I put the cake on the back step, but the extreme change in temperature caused the glass cake pan to shatter. Dad to the rescue - he made a new cake when he got home AND cleaned up the broken glass.
On Saturday we celebrated his birthday with a party with Hudson's friends.
His friends were very helpful when it came time to open up gifts.
We had the party in the clubhouse at a friend's townhouse complex where there is a gym. The kids were all very happy to play with the parachute, balls, hula hoops and beanbags that Papa Kroeker brought from his school.
And they all enjoyed their lunch and cake, gathered around the same small table.
The kids were also all very excited to see pictures of themselves on my Mom's camera.
And when the party was all done, we had to drag Hudson out of the gym.
Happy Birthday Hudson! We're so glad to have you in our family!
