Here's a photo update of what's been going on around our house lately.
After attending Ethan's birthday party, Hudson fell fast asleep in his room during quiet time, using cow giraffe as a pillow.
Hudson doesn't like the sound of the blender, so when I use it he covers his ears with two of Hailey's soft books. The other day he was using his play blender and brought me the books so I could cover my ears.
Uncle Tom and Aunty Sara came for a visit this weekend. We all had a great time with them, especially Hudson, who was delighted with his very obedient playmates.
Sara and Tom brought along Ticket to Ride and Hudson wanted to play. I set up the board, gave him the blue and black trains and Hudson happily put the trains on the board.
One day last week we were planning to go to storytime at the local library but Hailey was having a rough morning so we ended up staying at home. We made our own storytime instead. I laid out a blanket and Hudson covered it with "kids." Then he selected a few books for us to read (see the stack on the chair). Finally I was the teacher and read a few stories to the kids. It was very cute to see Hudson's creativity at work.
I made a big purchase last week - a double BOB stroller. I wanted to get an easy to push double stroller so we can go on walks and get to the park this spring. I'd heard good things about the BOB so we borrowed a friend's stroller and the kids liked it so the Craig's List search began. Here are the kids ready to set out on our maiden voyage.
And here they are about 2 hours later.
Last night we went to Red Robin to celebrate Sara's birthday. This was Hailey's first trip to a restaurant and she was a champ! She either smiled, ate or fell fast asleep in the ergo. Good job Hailey!
