Christmas Play, Snow Day & Santa!

On Saturday we had our Preschool Christmas Party, with dads in attendance as the special guests.  The kids sang the Christmas songs they learned (Away in a Manger & Hark the Herald Angels Sing) and performed a play of the Christmas story that they learned.  Hudson was Joseph.

We planned to decorate gingerbread houses at the party, but when Ethan fell off a chair, gashed open his head, and left to see a doctor, we took our gingerbread houses home and decorated them there instead.
One morning last week as Keith was putting on his shoes to head to work, Hudson cuddled up to him and said "I love you so much."
Always busy, Hailey now likes to get shoes, hats and mittens out of the closet.  She also finds other items to hang on her arm, like Hudsy's backpack in the picture below.  And she LOVES to play with the small calculator she's holding in her hand.
We resurrected the hot wheels car wash this week.  Put it on the table with a towel underneath and this outside summer toy has kept Hudson busy for many cold winter hours this week.
We took H2 to see Santa this week.  Hailey cried very hard.  And then Hudson, who had decided in advance that he would ask Santa "where is Rudolph?" rather said "what do you call a cow with no legs?" when I prompted him to ask Santa his question.  It was a priceless visit.

The Lafleurs came over for our annual Christmas party last night and the kids were very cooperative about sitting together on the couch for our annual photo.
And today it is snowing!  We went over to the Teeters to play in the snow together.  Hailey wasn't fond of being all bundled up, nor of keeping on her mittens.
The boys played "snow table" with the water table.  And then built a snowman which they licked, causing it to fall over before Juliet could return with a carrot for a nose.
