The Januaries

Our January has been off to a slow start as we get back into routines, recover from illness, and deal with lots and lots of lower mainland rain!

 Last week Hudson got a package in the mail from Ridgewood - it was a snowman craft kit from Grandma.  We glued it together, let it dry overnight, and now Hudson is very proud of his "Frosty."

One afternoon Hudson told me he was a baby, putting himself to sleep in Hailey's doll bed and pretending to use her doll soother.

 Our little lady is 15 months old already.  Where does the time go!?  Here she is on Sunday sporting a hand-me-down dress from Etta.

 On Monday I tied together a bunch of baskets and attached them to our riding Thomas.  Hudson filled them with animals and thus we had ourselves an animal train.  Hudson happily drove around the house, and Hailey happily followed him around.

This afternoon I cuddled Hudson up on the couch to watch an episode of Cat in the Hat.  Hailey animatedly told me that she wanted to sit on the couch too.  It was so cute....for about 15 seconds until she climbed down and went back to roaming the house.

Hailey is doing many very cute things these days, including pushing her doll stroller around the house and walking around with a purse on her arm and bracelets on her wrists.  But it's hard to get any pictures of her because whenever I get out the camera and kneel down to take a picture, Hailey is so excited to see me (or the camera?) that she drops what she's doing/holding, and runs towards me.  So I'm settling for hugs over photos these days.
