Friday was a beautifully sunny day so, at Hudson's suggestion, H2 and I
headed to Fort Langley. We looked at and climbed on the historic train,
and then did some walking on the Fort to Fort Trail and played on the
playgrounds. Hailey really likes marching around on her own now when
we're on walks. She also likes wearing her brother's mittens.
Today, only a few days later, we spent the morning playing outside in the snow, the most snow we've had around here in a long time! In December Hailey didn't like the snow, or her boots, or her mittens.
Today she liked all three, but the mittens only in short spurts.
Both kids got lots of use out of the snow shovel Hudson got for Christmas. Notice Hailey is only wearing one mitten in the photo above - it was our compromise for shoveling. Hudson takes his snow shoveling very seriously and insisted on going out again tonight after dinner to do more.
"Hudson, there's more snow over there. Shovel over there."
