A few weeks ago we said goodbye to the Greater Vancouver Zoo. We had a season's pass this past year and decided to take a year off and not renew this spring. We spent a lot of mornings at the zoo this past year, many with my friend Sharon and her kids, so Hudson calls it the "Kolsen Zoo" (as opposed to the "Grammy & Grampy Zoo," aka the Woodland Park Zoo, where we went with them last summer). Hudson loved cruising around the zoo on his bike and Hailey has gone from sleeping in my arms on the train (May 2013) to insisting on walking on her own (May 2014).
Hailey got a hand-me-down bike helmet. She likes to wear it all the time. She also likes her purse, things that she can use like a purse, her soother, her dolls/stuffed animals, and items she can push, like the shopping cart or doll stroller.
Over the long weekend Uncle Tom and Aunty Sara came to visit and so did Papa and Grandma. The weather was nice the kids spent lots of time outside.
A new game at our house is "painting" with a paint brush and water.
At the end of the long weekend Keith took the kids to Kent to visit Grammy & Grampy and to see Uncle Kevin who came for a visit. The kids were busy reading books, playing drums and piano, playing outside (including croquet with Uncle Kevin), and wearing helmets.
