Hailey is 4!

This week our Hailey-girl turned four. On her birthday she brought timbits to her class and got to wear a birthday crown from her teachers - both highly anticipated activities. Hailey and I also went to get manicures, using a gift card we'd gotten from my co-workers when I finished work.
For her birthday she got a new-to-her housecoat from Hudson. From us she got two wigs of princess hair, made the mother of a friend of a friend, and a new pair of dress-up shoes.

On Saturday we had a small party for Hailey. Only girls were allowed (except Dad and Uncle Ryan) and it was a Robin Hood theme with guests asked to dress as princesses.

She requested both cupcakes and a cake. I talked her out of a giraffe cake in favour of a heart cake, as I already a heart cake pan and it was significantly easier to decorate than a giraffe.

Guests attentively watched a few favourite clips from the Disney animated version of Robin Hood. They also played pass-the-parcel and decorated crowns.

And who said you can't dress up a pair of jammies - just add your mom's wedding veil, a princess wig, a necklace and new dress-up shoes.
