Our cousin Montana runs track and was in the midst of an excellent season when she tore her ACL doing hurdles. Knowing Montana was bummed about her injury, Hudson prepared some hurdles for her to run at our house last week before she came to babysit. His note to her reads "Montana you are not done hurdling for 2017! Me and Hailey organized a hurdling station with stuffies are hurdles. Not just for you but us and Jackson if he's here." Then the kids had a great time running up and down the hallway, jumping over stuffies.
(Side Note: Hailey is really into curtsying right now.)
Hailey had her last day of preschool. She has had the same two lovely teachers - Stephanie and Matildes - for the past two years. We're so thankful for the impact they've had on Hailey's life!
We had a big crowd for her graduation on Friday night. My parents were in town. Ryan, Laura, Reese & Holly came. And very excitingly, Kevin, Caroline, Etta & Louise were here to visit just in time for the big day.
Hailey carefully sang all the songs and did all the actions. She had told me before the graduation that she was going to use her sweet singing voice, not a screaming voice.
I'm past being annoyed with bad family pictures and now I just think "you make a stupid face if you want to and when you're older and ask why you look like that I'll just tell you that's what you chose."
After Hailey's graduation we drove across the highway to Reese's preschool for her graduation. Thankfully they weren't at the same time. These girls are such sweet friends and it's neat to watch them growing up together.
Saturday morning Hudson, Keith and Kevin rode in Rachel's Ride for Rwanda, along with Mike, Ethan and Riley Teeter. This was Hudson's second year doing the ride and it is a huge highlight for him. Within minutes of the ride being done he told me he wished he could do it every weekend. This year Hudson raised $676!
Hudson had five sweet girls at the finish line to cheer him on, as well as Papa and Grandma.
Last night we had a BBQ at our house with all of our family who are around these days.
And today we went to Cultus Lake to have some fun and to stay cool in the midst of this heat wave.
And then back home for some mac and cheese before bed.
