May Long Weekend

It's the May Long Weekend (in Canada at least). We were blessed to have our good friends Joel and Emily come visit us from Seattle, along with their little guy Ethan. Ethan is almost exactly a year older than Hudson so it's pretty amazing to see all that Ethan is able to do and think that in one short year Hudson will be able to do those things too. One thing he may not be able to do, though, is grow as much hair.

We went for a walk to two nearby parks. Ethan takes after his daredevil father and likes swinging quite high on the swing.

Hudson took a more moderate approach on his first swing ride, but it still tuckered him out and he feel asleep on the snugli ride home.

In other news, Hudson has developed a new skill of slowly rolling onto his side. So far he's only done it in the morning when he's in bed with Keith. If we lay him on his back right beside Keith he'll slowly work onto his side and end up like this.

And he can sort of sit up on the couch or on a chair. As long as we sit him in the crack between the cushions on the couch or near a blanket on a chair he will sit there quite happily.
