Our little boy is 19 months old and we love him more and more every day. He continues to be a very cheerful boy, loving to play and laugh. His favourite games currently are building towers and knocking them over, reading books, doing puzzles, and running around the kitchen dragging his train-on-a-string behind him. He thinks it's very funny to point to himself and say "da-da," wait for us to correct him, and then laugh.
Hudson also LOVES to go outside. At times he has brought me my shoes and then stood at the backdoor knocking to go outside. He will say "ow-side." He also points to his head and says a version of "hat on" and he'll also say "sing" (swing) meaning he wants to go to the park. And if we let him free he will walk himself to the park with no help - he knows just where to go. We have some tractors and balls in the backyard that he likes to pay with too. And now we know he's a lower mainland boy with his raincoat and rubber boots. Yesterday at Ali's he learned how to stomp in puddles, which he showed me on the way to the mailbox when he got home.
Hudson has also gotten better at playing with other kids. We had the Burkinshaw twins over on the weekend and Hudson happily shared his little people animals with them. This week Ethan and Juliet also came over. At one point Hudson lay his head on a pillow next to Ethan, Ethan patted Hudson's head, and then Hudson sat up to giggle before doing it again (see first picture). Best friends in training already :)
And of course we are still in love with our little niece Etta. We got to meet her via skype on Sunday night and she is incredibly precious. Hudson was mesmerized with her and said "bay-bee" upwards of 30 times, even touching the computer screen to point to her.
