Artist in the Making

Before Christmas we received (yet another) flyer from a (yet another) local realtor.  Instead of just recycling it, as we usually do, we took a look and realized that it included a colouring contest for kids.  Flashback: when Keith was 4 years old he won a Christmas colouring contest at a local grocery store, winning $10 and an apple.  With this in mind, we decided to have Hudson colour the picture and see what happened.  Hudson's colouring was quite modern, with a lot more black and brown than you typically see during the Christmas season.  We dropped it off and actually kind of forgot about it.  Then December 24 came along and we got a phone call....announcing that our little Hudson was the winner of the age 1 to age 4 category.  "He beat out all the competition" we were told...and we wondered how many competitors he was competing with.  Today Hudson and Keith went to pick up his prize, a gift certificate to Chapters.  Yeah!  At this point, Hudson is certainly taking after the Reed side of the family when it comes to his artistic abilities.

  1. Way to go Hudson! I thought I sensed some special talent when he was colouring the pig and cow colouring pages.
