Around Here

Hudson has fallen in love with the show Dinosaur Train.  He likes to be called Shiny (one of the main characters) and he has chosen three animals who permanently serve as (L-R) Buddy, Tiny and Don (the other main characters).  Hudson spends much of his day with his fellow dinosaurs, telling us everything they're doing, usually based on scenes from the show.
One night we found him in bed asleep with his Curious George anthology, another night with his Bible.  Turns out he quietly reads once we tuck him in.

Football season may be over, but Hudson still loves to play helmets.
Hailey keeps very busy doing odd things around the house.
Here she is cuddling her ducky, putting in the kitchen drawer, covering it with face cloths, and then cuddling it again.
Ducky loves her high chair too.
Hailey loves to get hats, mitts and shoes out of the closet, especially Hudson's.  Then she comes over and urges me to put them on her.  She also urged Juliet to strap her into Hudson's carseat while it was in the house this week.  She may not be saying any words yet, but she certainly gets her message across.
One afternoon Hailey and Riley were both fascinated with the door stop by our front door.
And when you're the second child, Mom lets you eat lunch with a butter knife, just to get you to stop fussing.
It's been pretty rainy around here lately, but we did get to spend a bit of time outside last weekend.  Both kids were excited to eat their snack in their lawn chairs.
And this past week my Gramma was in town to help all of her lower mainland kids and grandkids do their tax returns (at 81, she recently retired from H&R Block and is the tax expert among the Kroekers).  She also spent a lot of time reading books, playing Dinosaur Train, and doing puzzles.  Thanks for the visit Gramma!
