It's Spring!

A lot of weird things happen around our house.  One morning Hudson kept complaining about an "awful smell" in the house.  It was so awful, the only way he could eat breakfast was if he sat outside on his folding chair.  The only way Hailey could eat was if her high chair was right by the backdoor where she could see him.  Another morning Hailey was so excited for swimming lessons (she goes on Mondays and no longer needs a parent in the water with her) that she put her swimming suit on (backwards) over her pjs.
Hailey LOVES her ducky.  She wants to take him everywhere with her.  She also loves purses or other bags she can fill with things.  She is very concerned about family units, often wanting to confirm who is the mom, the dad and the baby when reading books (or where the mom and dad are if not included in the story).  She often tells me she is the mom for the duck, I'm the dad, and the duck is the baby.  Below (left) she is taking the duck on a walk but needed to wear my shoes since she is the mom.  Below (right) she had me tie her sweater around her waist so she could put the duck in there (like an ergo carrier) and rock the ducky during songs at church.
Hailey and Reese continue to be funny friends.  One day Laura and I met up at Costco and we kept the girls busy looking at books while we visited.
Hudson is becoming quite the artist.  The other day he was drawing on his magna doodle and told me it was a picture of Jesus in heaven.  I asked if anyone else was in heaven, like Grampy or Baby Samuel.  He then drew another picture, this time of Grampy in heaven (above left) and Grammy pushing Grampy in the wheelchair (above right).  Wanting to help him remember Grampy I asked Hudson what was his favourite thing to do with Grampy.  Hudson then drew a picture of himself playing drums (below) and was sure to put #41 as that was the sound effect Hudson liked best (and Grampy liked least) on his electric drum set.  It was sweet to see Hudson's memories of Grampy come to life.
This week we got our zoo membership (a Christmas gift from Grammy) and headed to the zoo with the Teeters.  The boys loved biking and riding the train.  Hailey loved being with Juliet and pushing the stroller (note the purse on her arm, which she NEEDED to bring along, and is full of her Curious George tea set).

And just yesterday, on our anniversary and sharing a birthday with her Grammy and Aunty Sarah, Alexis Ann Teeter arrived.  Hailey was delighted to bring flowers for Baby Lexi and to have a chance to hold her.

And now we have the fab five.
