Last week Hailey had her preschool Christmas concert. We weren't sure what to expect, as she wouldn't tell us any of the songs she was learning, but she did amazing! She sang along and happily did the actions. She said her favourite song was "Fairest Lord Jesus." Before the concert we tried to take a picture of the kids in front of the tree....but they kept jumping.
A few days last week Hailey kept busy in the mornings by "washing" already clean dishes she found in the cupboard and slopping water onto the floor.
Keith's mom came to visit for a few days. We went to the Peak of Christmas at Grouse Mountain for a special outing. We went skating, made a reindeer craft, watched a Christmas show, saw real reindeer and went on a Christmas light walk in the snow. Hudson loved the snow, while Hailey was often cold, tired and hungry.
We spread out the gift opening with Hudson and Hailey opening their gifts from Grammy on Christmas Eve. They got a Paw Patrol phone, like Ryder's, and some Paw Patrol figurines. The kids often play Paw Patrol, with Hudson's hand serving as Ryder's phone, so the real phone is a great addition to their game. The kids decorated Christmas cookies before going to the Christmas Eve service at church.
And after we got home from church the kids watched How the Grinch Stole Christmas and ate popcorn and juice.

This morning we all opened our stockings, even Grammy, who got gifts in Keith's childhood stocking. This was the first year Hudson really cared about Santa. Although we told him Santa was a fairy tale he wanted to believe in him. So we put a few gifts out last night from Santa and Hudson was thrilled this morning to tell us that Santa WAS real because he'd left him gifts.
The kids were excited about their gifts from Keith and I, including duplo and a mixer for Hailey and a "car contraption" (his request) and a Seahawks backpack for Hudson.
