Hailey was invited to a ballerina princess birthday party this past Saturday. This was a momentous event because (1) the party was for Lydia, a girl from preschool, and the name Hailey likes to be called in any game she ever plays, (2) it was the first party she's been invited to for someone outside our family or close family friends, and (3) she got to wear her princess dress. Hailey carried the present around the house most of the morning and politely told me that she was the only one going to the party (message received: drop me off and leave).
While Hailey was at the party, Hudson and I went to a nearby Tim Hortons for a muffin. We ate, made guesses on the next colour car to go through the drive-thru, and played hangman.
And then everyone went home with a "full bucket" :)
