We spent a wonderful Easter weekend in Kelowna with my family. The kids enjoyed an Easter egg hunt in my parents' yard and we took a day trip to Big White, successfully getting both kids up on skis. When he got back to school, Hudson drew a picture of himself skiing, accurately depicting the colour of his skis.
Grandma gave Hailey a manicure and pedicure one evening while Papa took Hudson to a Rockets playoff game.

And Hailey and Papa did some BBQing one warm evening.
Back at home, my Gramma visited for a few days this week. She only recently retired from working for H&R Block and now she does house calls helping her kids and grandkids do their tax returns. My kids really enjoyed playing with her, especially Hailey, who thanked God for Great Gramma at every meal while she was here.
This spring Juliet and I were thrilled to discover that our kids could take swimming lessons together - Hailey and Riley in Sea Stars, Hudson and Ethan in Swim Kids 1, and Lexie in sideline-snack-eating. Twice a week we trek to the pool for the kids to swim and they are all surprising us with how brave they are in the water.
One day Hailey put on her bathing suit, sweatpants, crocs and sunglasses, then headed out the door to pick-up Hudson from school and go to swimming. I tried very hard not to be embarrassed.
Back at home, Hudson has grown very confident in sounding out words and is busy writing and recording all kinds of things. On the left is Gilbert's report card. Gilbert is one of his stuffies and many of his stuffies got report cards after Hudson got his spring report card.
