Today Hudson and Hailey both had their first day of school. This first week of school Hudson is in a group of fellow grade two students by alphabetical last name and he will be placed in his official class next week. Hailey is in her class but will have gradual entry, attending for a few hours a day until midweek next week when she begins full days.
Another first at our home happened yesterday when Hudson took a major spill on his scooter, drilling his nose (between his eyes) into a concrete bench. It took most of the day to get the bleeding nose to completely stop and now he has a very swollen face. This is Hudson's most significant injury to date. He was a real trooper, though within moments of falling he was asking me to sing him a lullaby and ensuring we would stay home the rest of the day and asking if he had to go to school the next day if his nose was still bleeding. But he was also quick to ask me to pray that his nose would be healed, and asked again several times throughout the day when he thought it was taking too long to heal.
