Happy Halloween!

This Halloween we had Elsa and a lion at our house. Both kids were excited to wear their costumes to school and to take part in the school's annual costume parade.
A special treat this year was having Papa and Grandma in town, joining with the kids for some trick-or-treating last night.
As with past years, the kids were as excited to sit at the door giving out candy as they were to walk the neighbourhood collecting candy.
And after a busy night, Hudson was happy to cuddle on the couch watching the World Series with me. May not be many more Halloween nights that end that way, so I soaked it in!

A few weeks ago Hudson announced that he wanted to play Scrabble, so I played with him. He was very good and making words out of his letters, but we couldn't always find places to fit them on the board.
Earlier this week I watched our friends Alex and Olivia for the afternoon. I pulled them to the school in the wagon to pick up H&H, and Hailey insisted on being the one to pull them home. And back at home she happily "read" them an I Spy book, helping them find the different items hiding in the picture.
Another afternoon the kids played in the leaves in the Teeter's front yard. Hailey is very sweet when she plays with Lexie, kindly helping her.
