Yesterday we celebrated Hudson's birthday by having a party with his friends. It was a Games Competition Party. Hudson made everyone a booklet (see below) with 9 stations to work through, including basketball, car jumping, keva planks & lego, field goal, ball bouncedown, snack, cake, presents, and scavenger hunt. Every time they completed a station they got a sticker in their booklet. We had many "volunteers" (as Hudson called them) to help at the stations as he had invited Uncle Ryan, Jackson and a friend's dad to help.
His friends were incredibly good sports. Since he had friends from a few areas of life - church, school, family friends - he had everyone wear nametags.
And he's excited for his real birthday on Thursday - it's math mornings at school, he can bring timbits to school to share with his classmates, Grammy is arriving, and it's Awana in the evening.
Hudson and Hailey exchanged Valentines at school. We continued with our tradition of buying on "boy" box of Valentines and one "girl" box - then Hailey and Hudson share the boxes so they can each give girl Valentines to girls and boy Valentines to boys.
Hailey continues to love colouring and is a very careful and detailed artist.
She is also excellent at hide & seek - she got herself into that spot all on her own.
Hudson is learning to play Super Mario Brothers on Keith's original Nintendo. He likes to play one player and then has stuffie (controlled by him) play the other. We also got a game on the iPad called HOP that he enjoys playing.
Hudson and Hailey both love it when our younger friends Alex & Olivia come over. Both kids are very kind and considerate....and I think they like the cooperative spirit of their younger playmates :)
