Our friends Ali and Spencer went to the hospital yesterday morning for the delivery their second little one and left their oldest daughter, Ella, with us. For about 24 hours we were a 2 child family and it's a good thing we had 4 adults here not just 2. Ryan and Laura (who are now living with us while they wait for their newly purchased townhome in Walnut Grove to be completed) were a huge help. Laura captured some quiet reading time Hudson and Ella shared on the couch.
Ella: "Look here, Hudson, this is how you do it."

Ella: "Were you listening to me? That's not what I showed you!"
Ella went home late this morning along with her new little sister Juliette Marie.
And earlier this week Keith took Hudson on a walk to the bank. Hudson was either so tired (or bored...who knows what Keith talked to him about) that he fell asleep with his hat over his face.
Ella: "Look here, Hudson, this is how you do it."
