Give Me Technology!

VICTORY!

Hudson is obsessed with pieces of technology - telephones, remote controls, TV, VCR, computers - he wants them all. Sometimes we leave things lying around where he can reach them and when he gets to them he just stands there and jumps, anticipating the amazing feeling of holding them in his hands, and then picks them up and gets to work pressing buttons.

We recently put a different bench in front of the TV. Now Hudson crawls under it and tries to touch the DVD player buttons from underneath. He is determined.

And here is Hudson "helping" me work from home. I'm not sure the e-mails he wrote were as helpful to prospective students as the ones I write, but I think he was more excited about it than I am some days.

Hudson has gotten to spend time with many of his special friends this week... and so have Keith and I! We had the Burkinshaws and their girls over again this past weekend and Hudson was able to control himself long enough to sit nicely for a picture with the twins.

We also had the opportunity to babysit Ethan, our friends Joel & Emily's son, while they were in town for a wedding. The boys played very nicely together, even though Ethan is a year older than Hudson. Here they are desperately trying to get through the baby gate and up the stairs. Even working together, they could not figure it out.

And tonight my friend Brenda, her husband Michael and their son Levi were in town from Ontario and Hudson got a chance to play with Levi. They also played nicely together. And Levi even felt comfortable enough to try to eat Hudson's soother at one point.

Hudson also got a chance to eat pizza for the first time.

It was really special to be with two of my best friends from university - Brenda and Juliet - and to all be there with our little boys. :) Some sons were more cooperative (Ethan!) for the photo op than others.
And Hudson has been a bit cuddlier lately, letting us hold him on our laps for a few minutes before he squirms away and gets back to work at who knows what. We really try to soak it up.
