Hudson spent some time in his very own swing in the backyard. He really loves to swing! We also went on a family walk to the elementary school across the street to go on the big swings and ride in a wagon. I spent a lot of time in that school yard growing up.

Our technology addicted boy got spoiled by Aunty Sara and Uncle Tom who let him play with a real cell phone.
We did some wedding planning and celebrated all of our hard work by having lunch at The Eldorado, where Sara and Tom will have their wedding reception. Some of us behaved more appropriately than others.
And how to do you keep a 13 month old boy happy in the wedding aisles at Michaels? You get a Starbucks cup, you fill it with broken up pieces of a mini vanilla bean scone, and you don't worry about the crumbs... or the sugar.

We also took a trip to visit Great Grandma Zac. Hudson spent some time curiously and cautiously looking at a stuffed dog that was under my Grandma's coffee table. He even pet it at the end. I'm not sure if he knew it wasn't real.
He also sat in a little rocking chair that was my Grandma's when she was little and was at our house when I was growing up.
All in all it was a fun trip. From all these pictures you wouldn't even guess that Hudson cut two top molars over the weekend and that he and I spent many nighttime hours on the couch together sleeping and watching Baby Einstein. But we did.
Scone in the cup... genius. A little sugar in a public place can go a loooong ways...
