We are adjusting well to life at home as a family of four. Of course the transition is easier with my Mom here to help and Keith home from work, but we're still thankful for some great first days at home.
Hailey continues to steal our hearts with her sweet disposition. She is a very good baby, eating and sleeping well. She often reminds us of Hudson, mostly with her facial expressions and squeaks.
In the weeks leading up to Hailey's birth we talked with Hudson about all the things he could do as a big brother. The one thing he was most excited about was helping her have a bath in the whale tub. On Tuesday when we told him it was time to give Hailey a bath, he was thrilled! He ran around collecting supplies, stood on his stool at the counter to watch, and even helped wash her with a cloth. It was very cute to see how excited he was.
Hudson also often initiates interactions with Hailey, walking over to her to say "hi," asking to hold her, and (in the picture to the left) holding her hands while Keith read them a book. He seems to genuinely like her and be glad she's at our house.
Keith continues his tradition of taking our kiddos to get the mail, wrapping Hailey up and taking her to the mailbox for the first time yesterday.
And Grandma Kroeker is busy playing with Hudson (even baking cookies this afternoon) and cuddling with Hailey.
