End of September

At the beginning of September some major construction began on the street next to ours.  This is a major nuisance for many in our neighbourhood, but for Hudson & I it's great!  A few times a week we walk over to watch the tractors, dump trucks and workers.  Since then, Hudson has been more interested in playing with the tractors in our backyard.  Here he is filling up the digger with rocks and dumping them onto the grass.
The weather has also gotten cooler and Hudson got to wear his new "special jams" from Uncle Kevin & Aunt Caroline.  He knows there is a bear on the bum but he gets bothered when he can't see it.
Hudson's favourite meal these days: chips & salsa.  He thinks we should have it for dinner every night.  And often when I call him to the table for dinner he says in a sing-songy voice "chips and salsa please Momma" and is quite disappointed when we're having a meal that does not include these items.  On Saturday we let him eat chips & salsa for dinner and he made a huge mess!  There was salsa on his face, bib, shirt, shorts, arms, legs, and stool.  We had to give him a bath.
On Friday night Keith & I went out for a date night before the baby arrives.  Hudson went on a date, too, getting to hang out with Ella & Juju for the evening.  Over dinner Hudson started to say "Thank-you Mr. Fer-fer" (Spencer) and the girls thought it was hysterical.  The kids took turns saying this hilarious line and then laughing.  Thankfully Ali got a few pictures of them giggling.  It's really sweet how much these three enjoy each others' company.
