This week Hudson is participating in "PBS" as he calls it - Vacation Bible School - at a church near our home. It's his first time in a program where we drop him off and don't stay with him. Hudson is excited to go each morning and comes home with fragmented - but excited - information about what he did that morning. Two of his little friends from our church - Moriah and Liam - attend with him.
It's a Hawaiian Adventure theme, so I often hear Hudson talking about Hawaii during his quiet time. He also talks about "Dee," the puppet from the opening session. He needs to bring a "pack pack" with a change of clothes and a water bottle each day. And he often sings me fragments this song (start at 1:25): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NToKpmBiRIo. And he also sings me fragments of "Our God is a Great Big God."
Today he told one of the teachers that he has three babies at home. She asked me about it when I picked him up and I told her he has a sister named Hailey and she said the other babies he mentioned were named Etta and Reesie. Hudson's "lying" was overshadowed by the cuteness of him talking about his cousins at VBS.
I've asked him what Bible story he learned and the first day he told me "the one with the numbers....about 7" and it turns out he'd learned about the days of creation. He also has talked a few times about "these are the wet rocks, these are the dry rocks" and I'm still trying to figure that one out.
