Staycation

Keith had the week off work last week and we enjoyed a staycation.  On BC Family Day we went to Ryan and Laura's for dinner.  It's always precious to see the four sweet cousins interacting with one another.  Holly spent some time in the jolly jumper and all three older kids were thrilled with her.

One day we went to an indoor play center the kids love and then to Tim Hortons for lunch.  About two years ago Hudson began going to Tim Hortons with my Dad and each of them always order the same thing.  This makes Hudson view himself as a Tim Hortons expert.  When I take him to Tim Hortons, sometimes he wants a second muffin, so I'll give him $2 and let him wait in line and order on his own.  He is very confident and does a great job.

We gave the kids Valentine's Day gifts (scholastic book orders that happened to arrive on the 13th).  Hailey got a new Curious George book and Hudson got a penguin math game.
We had a special Valentine's Day lunch, with a "huge muffin," which was actually just banana bread with chocolate chips in a heart shaped pan.  Hudson wanted one all to himself.
And Hudson made us all Valentines.  "Molly" and "Hudson" on the top, "Hailey," "Mom" and "Dad" along the bottom.
Games of incredible intricacy and innumerable parts continue at our house.
As does Hailey's attentive mothering to her baby.  If you ever want to learn our bedtime routine with Hailey, come watch her with her baby.
