Summer Happenings

Last weekend we had Reese over for a sleepover to celebrate her birthday.  All three kids were very excited about it.  We had Fiesta Friday (our new Friday tradition of Mexican food), watched Curious George with popcorn and juice boxes, and played, played, played.
We also celebrated Hudson's half birthday - our boy is now 5.5 years old and getting ready for kindergarten!  He continues to be very creative.  Above (L) is his magnet board with letters/numbers arranged by colour and below are several homemade kites complete with animal drawings on each one.
We had a Family Fun Day on Tuesday and went to the Vancouver Aquarium.  Hudson was very intrigued by the sturgeon and Hailey said she liked "the fish."  She also liked being carried around and climbing into precarious positions.
And we've been going to the zoo about once a week this summer.  Often the kids go with Keith when I'm at work.  Today I took them and we met up with the Teeters.  It was the first day we had all four kids on bikes as Hailey has just become confident (and competent) on her bike.
