Hudson is continuing to grow up! He has been "playing" in his jolly jumper for the past month but until recently he just happily hung there and looked around. Just in the past few days he has realized that he can jump, so he is actively jumping now and seems to enjoy his jolly jumper even more. The first picture reminds me of one taken of his Uncle Ryan many years ago. On the weekend Keith and I played Monopoly Deal (our new favourite game) on the floor in the study while Hudson jumped. We gave him a card so he could feel a part of the game, but then we became concerned about him ingesting the paper and ink so we took it away.
Since Hudson has developed a love of standing (in the jolly jumper and on our laps) we invested in an exersaucer off of Craig's List this weekend. When we put him in it for the first time, before he even was sitting down, he had each hand on a different toy. He has a particular love for the seal. Ryan said he looks a bit like a man sitting down for a day of work.
"Mom, can you please put that camera away, you're distracting me. I have a lot of toys to suck and spin before lunch."
Yesterday Ryan and Laura returned from their trip southeast Asia and this afternoon they left for Ontario, but we were lucky to get to have them stay with us while they were here. They brought Hudson some small slippers with elephants on them that they bought in Laos. These are especially great since Laura's favourite part of the trip was an elephant ride they went on. Laura was also fortunate to get to witness Hudson's first attempt at rice cereal yesterday. He didn't dislike it, but you could tell he was dumbfounded by a spoon and something other than milk in his mouth.

Awwww... he's growing up so fast! Can't believe he's already bouncing around in the jolly jumper and starting to eat rice cereal! I love those stages. And may I say that Hudson just gets cuter and cuter in each picture :)
