Halloween is in the Air

On Friday we had our friend Jon over for our 2nd annual pumpkin carving evening. Check out our blog from last October to see pictures from the inauguration of the event. Hudson was tired and didn't make it to the pumpkin carving, but I carved the letter "H" (for Hudson and for Halloween) into the mini pumpkin that we got him at the pumpkin patch last weekend. Then I carved a bat into my own pumpkin. Keith used a special kit I bought him to carve the Seahawks logo into his pumpkin and Jon made his whole pumpkin into a football helmet. Keith was so excited about his creation that he got our neighbours to come out and admire it. And Jon was delighted that our neighbour (and a woman!) recognized Jon's carving as a helmet right away.
In other news, Hudson and I are continuing to attend his weekly Baby Play class. Hudson is often a big hit with his smiles and sounds. He loves the songs and actions, but most of all he loves looking at himself in the big mirrors. Stay tuned for pictures of costume day which will be held at Baby Play class later this week. Hudson is planning to dress up as a giraffe this year.
