While we were in Kelowna Hudson learned to pull himself up from sitting to standing. My parents had a toy they found at a garage sale that we affectionately referred to as Hudson's "cage." It's actually supposed to be a zoo and inside there are different things for Hudson to play with, but it does keep him confined as well. He was happy to sit and play in it for a long time. Then he began to realize that if he held on to the sides and pulled really hard that he could get himself standing up. And then he got cocky and was standing with only one hand.
We decided to bring this cage back to our house and Hudson has been enjoying it here too. We made a new play corner for him with some alphabet foam mats, his cage, and some toys. This morning he somehow got one leg out the door of the cage and another between some toys. He played happily like this for a bit, but then let out a little squeak saying "Mom...Dad...this isn't fun anymore."
