Hudson turned 11 months old on the weekend and now the countdown is on to his first birthday. Wow, how the time flies!
Hudson loves to play with his Daddy. Almost every day when Keith comes home he takes Hudson on a walk to get the mail. Some days Hudson doesn't want to put his coat on so Keith wraps him up in a big blanket instead. Often Hudson carries the mail home, with a death grip on bills and fliers, and a very satisfied look on his face.
Last weekend Aunty Sara and Uncle Tom came to visit. I was quite sick so it was nice to have them around to help out with Hudson...but sad because I missed out on some of the engagement fun. Laura made an engagement cake that looked like a mini wedding cake. Nice work Laura! And Tom and Sara kept Hudson very entertained with short children shows on YouTube.
The other day when I was bathing Hudson I noticed he had a little yellow duck hanging out of his mouth. No big deal. He kept it there and just played away.
A new discovery by crawling Hudson is our bookcase. He finds his way over there a few times a day and pulls books off. Today his friend Kolsen was over and the two of them crawled over there, pulled themselves up, and were pulling books from the third shelf. They were both quite pleased with themselves.
Also this week Grandma Kroeker was in town for a few days. It was great to see her...and to have her help after my sickness weekend. She did LOTS of playing with Hudson and even got to enjoy a few cuddles on the couch watching Baby Einstein. When Hudson thinks parts of the show are particularly good, he turns around to make sure whoever is watching with him is looking too and then smiles. And if it's a really good part he claps.
