Summer at Ridgewood

As an end to our summer of traveling, we spent a week in Kelowna with Grandma & Papa Kroeker and Aunty Sara & Uncle Tom.  The weather wasn't as hot and beachy as usual, so we got a chance to do a few new things, like check out the Kangroo Farm.  Hudson was uncharacteristically brave, enjoying petting the kangaroos and the other animals that were there too.  Hailey needed some coaxing but she got in on the action too.
Hailey continues to be both very weird (trying to leave the house wearing my Mom's nursing shoes) and painfully sweet (standing on the porch with her hand on my Dad's shoulder).

We spent one evening at an outdoor concert.  Both kids loves it and so did us adults.  On the way home Hailey was very overtired and did this to herself in the backseat.
We spent time outside at Ridgewood enjoying all of Grandma and Papa's toys.
And we got in some beach time.  Hudson was very brave in the water and both kids were very interested in snacks.
In other summer news, Hailey loves cheese.  I set the table for lunch one day, went to wash my hands, and when I turned around Hailey had climbed on to a chair and there was a trail of cheese leading from the bowl to her hand, her little fist filled with cheese.
And we spent a morning at Crescent Beach with Reese, Uncle Ryan and Aunty Laura.  I can't get enough of these two beach beauties!
Now we're home and getting ready for some exciting things around here, including Hudson starting preschool three mornings a week, and welcoming a new niece or nephew.
