Happy Halloween!

This Halloween we had a MONKEY at our house.
We began our Halloween festivities on Thursday, when Hudson had a Halloween party with Ella & Juju.  Ella even found time to sneak in a Halloween kiss.
On Sunday Hudson stopped in to do some trick or treating at Uncle Ryan & Aunty Laura's house.  And despite the look on his face, he had a very fun time there, playing with cars and having Aunty Laura sneak him some candies.

Today we went for a play date with Ethan and the boys dressed up in their animal costumes.

At one point Hudson voluntarily climbed into the dog kennel, making himself look like a monkey at the zoo.
Late this afternoon we took off to do some trick or treating.  Hudson needed to mow the lawn first, though.
We walked to the store to pick up a few things and Hudson insisted on walking, not riding in the stroller.  He looked so cute walking (and sometimes running) along the sidewalk in his little monkey costume.
We stopped in to see the newest pumpkin on the block, baby Lewis, who was born to our friends Brian & Roz only one week ago.  At their house Hudson turned into a literal monkey, climbing onto the coffee table (without assistance) and jumping off.
We kept on walking, taking a short stop at the park to ride in the swings, at Hudson's request.
We met up with our neighbours, who looked great as a pirate and a hippie and were excited to see Hudson all dressed up.
And then we headed home for a late supper.  Hudson was delighted to have some trick or treaters come to our house and he'd excitedly shout "bye" and slam the door on them after we gave them candy.
