Christmas Visits

We have had a fun week of Christmas visits, getting us ready for Keith's parents to arrive today and for our visit to Kelowna at the beginning of next week.
On Sunday evening my Aunty Jan, Uncle Doug, and cousins Brandon and Cam came over.  Brandon had Hudson's name in the Kroeker cousin gift exchange and got him a collection of farm animal books and a lego tractor.  They're a big hit - with Keith too, as seen below where he is pictured playing with the tractor while Hudson reads his books.  Hudson's favourite animals to find in the books - the ox and the rat.

On Tuesday our friends the Lungs came over for a visit.  Kara and I got to go for coffee & a walk while Howard supervised Hudson and Jonas taking their naps.  Jonas and Hudson were both monkeys for Halloween and since then Jonas likes to wear the top of his costume like it is a regular coat.  I put Hudson in his costume, too, so they could be matching, but neither boy was too keen on a photo shoot.
Later in the day the Lafleurs came over.  The kids exchanged gifts and then sat nicely under the tree for 10 seconds looking at their gifts before they resumed running around and playing.  Once they went to bed, Ali & Spencer teamed up against Keith & I for a few games of Jeopardy.
Yesterday I was fortunate to get to meet up with my friend Brenda who is in town visiting her husband's family for Christmas.  It was great to catch up with Brenda and exciting to meet their new little girl Abigail.  This is as good as it gets for photos with 3 kids in them.  Sorry Abby.  I'll get one of you smiling next time.
Hudson loves the mini-etch-a-sketch he got from Ella and Juju and he is constantly wanting Keith and I to draw pictures of cows and pigs for him...and then he immediately erases them.  Keith cleverly uses the new farm animal books for drawing tips.
