On Friday afternoon Hudson and I joined our friends Roz and baby Lewis (Rah and Lulu for Hudson) to go on a short bus ride to the Willowbrook Mall. Hudson has been very interested in buses for the past few months since he started seeing a bus on his favourite Thomas the Tank Engine movie. For Hudson many things go together in pairs (pig and cow, penguin and hippo, turtle and frog, bus and tractor), so as soon as I told him we were going to go on the bus he started saying "bus-tractor" incessantly.
It was a bit of an ordeal to get onto the bus with the stroller in tow, but once we got settled Hudson was pumped and sat happily looking around the entire way to the mall. We went into the mall for a bit so Roz and I could do some errands, Lewis could sleep silently and Hudson could throw a fit about not being able to do whatever he wanted.
One mistake of the trip is that I let Hudson wear his boots, which he kicks off while in his stroller (as seen in the picture above by his socked feet and below by me putting his boots back on AGAIN). This proved to make Mommy have a lot less fun.
On the bus trip home, whenever the bus stopped Hudson would say "more bus, more bus" until it started moving again and he was a bit disappointed when we had to get off again.
Overall it was a fun trip with good company and I think we'll do it again sometime...just without the boots!
